An understanding of colour is an important part of design. The Tuzzles colour wheel allows children to experiment with the placement of colours, understanding which colour compliments another or why some colours change the hue of another when placed together. The laser cut wooden pieces will fit in any order, to get them into the “right” order, the student will learn the correct sequence of colour.
Raised Piece Puzzles are the next step after Pegs. The puzzle pieces are raised higher than the frame background which allows small fingers to easily manipulate the pieces. This extends fine motor development. Puzzles help children to develop a range of skills. These include visual motor skills, proprioception, vestibular, tactile and fine motor. These skills are all pre-reading essentials and are extremely important in early childhood development.
