R2X2-046
This bright rainbow coloured puzzle has 6 concentric ring pieces ranging in size, which have to be placed into the circular puzzle frame in order of biggest to smallest. Children will develop hand-eye co-ordination with one and two hands, as they may require two hands when guiding the larger rings into position. They will also notice that the colours vary slightly with size, opening up opportunities for discussion about the colour spectrum.
Raised Piece Puzzles are the next step after Pegs. The puzzle pieces are raised higher than the frame background which allows small fingers to easily manipulate the pieces. This extends fine motor development. Puzzles help children to develop a range of skills. These include visual motor skills, proprioception, vestibular, tactile and fine motor. These skills are all pre-reading essentials and are extremely important in early childhood development.
