Bottlenose Dolphins are the Dolphins humans have associated with the most. They tend to stay around coastal areas and hunt fish to eat. These floor puzzles have been designed so that children will work in groups, learning co-operation and sharing skills. As the puzzles are constructed on the floor, children practice their gross motor skills as they reach and bend and shift positions to complete the puzzle.
When piecing together a floor puzzle, children need to maintain balance, stretch and move to complete the picture. All this helps them with their balance, their vestibular development while also expanding on their motor development skills. The large chunky pieces are great to grab and with a few children involved can result in many hours of fun. Choose puzzles with themes that interest the child, no matter how complex or how simple the design, just “doing” the puzzle and completing the task will help the child to learn the concepts they need on their individual journey to reach their full potential.
