Description

The Didgeridoo is a musical instrument unique to the Australian Aborigines. This puzzle depicts the Australian Aborigine standing to play, but they are often played whilst seated on the ground. The instruments are carved from branches of trees that have been hollowed out by white ants, leaving an outside shell. The instruments are often brightly painted with traditional aboriginal designs.A Flat Tray wooden puzzle  Didgeridoo is a shape cut puzzle which means that it is more of a challenge than a traditional cut jigsaw puzzle.  The shape pieces help children learn spacial awareness as they have to first find the negative space and then match it with the positive shaped piece. All the pieces come out leaving just a narrow border and the tray gives the student a space to work within. But remember to "Gently Tip and Turn" the pieces out of the frame. Please read the care instructions on the sticker on the back of all Tuzzles tray products.

A Tray Puzzle gives people a framework to work within. They are the next step from raised puzzles as fine motor coordination is developing. Tray puzzles are designed in many different configurations with few or many pieces. They can be traditionally cut or randomly cut to the shape of the object. This encourages recognition of both positive and negative shapes. Puzzles help develop the skills of hand -eye coordination, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, problem solving, shape recognition, memory and very importantly setting goals and achieving them. A successful outcome of achievement should be considered most important when choosing the piece count
